The English Patient

It had to happen at some point: our faithful vacuum cleaner stopped working and couldn’t be persuaded to restart. There was often a change in the sound which suggested that it was getting blocked. Normally emptying the collector and trying to remove as much dust as possible would help but not this time. Considering how much extremely fine plaster it’s had to cope with, I guess we’re lucky it lasted as well as it did.

Fortunately, Dyson offers a reasonably priced repair service so all I needed to do was find a suitable box and take it to the post office. I’m not going to win any prizes for the knots but the box stayed on the bike all the way!
