The cellar

With the kitchen being so small, we’re going to need somewhere to store all the stuff you tend to keep in the kitchen, even though you hardly ever use it.

The cellar traditionally had a pantry under the living room and we’ll be using at least part of the space for storage. We’d already moved some ladder rack shelves from the Waldlehne and today it was time to set them up.

Andre hard at work, though he is using my drill! It’s amazing how powerful these battery powered tools have become!  Some of those bricks were complete bastards.

The finished result. We might adjust the heights a bit, but the key to shelving, I think, is not too high and not too crowded. If you’re struggling for space then you probably don’t need all that stuff!

We should have enough space for toilet paper, cleaning stuff, dry goods and some of the bigger pans that we only use occasionally.

Well, that’s the idea at least!
