The Boards in the Bedroom (continued)

After a little tentative exploring with a screwdriver that mainly just breaking up the chipboard I could see a little bit of red.
So, it was obviously time for the crowbar! With this it was fairly easy to “pop” the boards up over the nails, some of which turned out to be screws, and lift the boards out.

We can now think about getting these floors done with the rest of the stairs. It’ll save us having to choose flooring next year. But it isn’t cheap.
The B Team got stuck in traffic, taking two hours for a journey that normally takes less than half that. And when they arrived I had to leave, in order to smash up a cupboard and put it out with some other stuff for special collection tomorrow morning. But they decided to take another go at the study floor in the hope that it, too, is largely screwed or nailed down and not glued.
Fingers crossed.
