One more thing

You know how happy we were with the tiled bathroom?

Well, yesterday morning when I arrived at the house, I found out things were not quite perfect. The tiles have been laid as planned and look great. Ivan has even managed to get the all the geometry right.

However, in our excitement we’d forgotten that the shower wall has to be mounted on a completely flat tile and a anchored into the real. But we’ve only tiled all the way up the wall on the right hand side. This means that either the wall can be mounted on the tile but have no wall at the top, or, it can be mounted against the wall but hang over the slope. Five minutes discussion between Mr Sauer and Ivan and we had a solution: we will mirror the cladding on the left of the room and will thus be able to mount the wall both on the floor and against the “blind” cladding. It’s not perfect, but it will have some symmetry and should look okay, and most importantly, it will work.

Meanwhile, yesterday the storage heater and water softener were installed.

It’s a real rollercoaster but we’re getting there,I think!😀
