How about that!
Sabine answered our call for help today and was immediately roped in packing up bits in the kitchen and the broom cupboard.
She then loaded up her car with computer bits and bobs and it was off to the new house to give the kitchen cupboards a once over. Something I’d neglected to do last night.
Then it was time for the big reveal - the floor coverings did s great job while work was going on but we both noticed last night that they’re inconvenient in everyday life. So we decided to remove them in the three rooms. We’ll keep them in the hall and on the stairs until the removal men have gone; and in the attic until work there has been finished.
And this is what the floor looks like. Nearly a hundred years old and mostly hidden for more than forty of those!
The little lamp was made by Astrid’s nephew Julian, when he was at school.
