Decisions, decisions, decisions

Decisions, decisions, decisions

With the plumbing in the bathrooms nearly complete, it was more than time to order the tiles.

We’d looked at some tiles at the end of August, and while we’d sort of decided on a style, we hadn’t got round to ordering any, not knowing at the time whether we’d have a bathroom when we moved in.

Anyway, today was essentially crunch time before forced to take pot luck at one of the local DIY shops, so I made an appointment for this afternoon. Well, I thought it was for this afternoon at a local tiles showroom, thought we’d have lunch and head off. Because that was what we’d said we’d do. Some people other ideas. Sometimes an impending deadline is an incentive for some people to go even slower…

This kind of thing happens to us a lot. You’d think we might learn from this but I think we’re old enough to know we probably won’t.

Well, we got there. On time as well even if the computer had decided the appointment really should be tomorrow. The staff were helpful enough to squeeze us in and we had a consultation in record time, decided on the tiles and ordered them on the spot. FWIW they’re called Loire Beige and should be here in s couple of weeks, when the house may well be full of joiners, glazers, painters and other sundry tradesmen!

PS. We’re still debating on the tiles for the kitchen though it looks like we’ve got a consensus on the style.
