An unexpected guest

When we came on from the garden, Astrid noticed that there was some moss in my bar bag. She looked closer and saw two little eyes looking at her: a robin had built its nest there while we were away!

Wow!

But there’s a problem because I use my bike nearly every day. So this morning I had to move the bag and hope it wouldn’t disturb the nesting birds too much.

I was able to move the bag quickly, but at least one bird hopped out and into the house. But a few minutes later it was back in the bag at its new place. It’s still very close to the house, but hopefully they’ll be safe and happy there.

In the meantime I have to provide regular updates. The word “webcam” has even been used!
