Yesterday I had to pinch myself that it had only been a week since we’d had any new radiators installed. But even the single one in the cellar that we’d had before that had been doing a great job in warming up the floor.

That’s from yesterday morning. Since then the humidity has significantly decreased and the workers have even turned the heating down.

It’s only in the last two weeks that the house has started looking like a house again. And a new one at that. And, while much of what we’re doing is about making it very much our house, aesthetics have really had to take a backseat while all the important stuff is done. It is then really gratifying to see how the few changes we have made seem to fit: we were worried about closing off the dining room door, but replacing the kitchen one with it works very well.
